Home Builder's Blitz 2008


Home Builders Blitz 2008 is a nationwide partnership between professionals in the residential home building industry and Habitat for Humanity affiliates to build affordable homes across the nation.  A total of 110 Habitat affiliates will build 263 homes across the United States with the help of more than 1,000 building industry professionals.

Family: Faulkner
The excited homeowner-to-be is Crystal Faulkner, who grew up in Newport News and works as a security officer for the City. Her daughter, Quran, attends Huntington Middle School as a 7th grader and enjoys playing the popular Sims games on her computer.

Valerie Johnson, Jasmine, Isaiah & Joshua

Valerie Johnson will be realizing her dream of homeownership along with children Jasmine (17), Joshua (7) and Isaiah (6). The family currently resides in Williamsburg where Valerie is employed as a CNA with Eastern State Hospital.

Shanelle Dover, Dewayne and Ra'Kyah

Purchasing her first home is Shanelle Dover, who will be accompanied by her son Dewayne (9) and daughter Ra'Kyah (2). Shanelle presently lives in Newport News and works at the Williamsburg Plantation Resort in Quality Assurance.
