Jones-Fikes Family |
Associated General Contractors House
This home is being built for
the Kecia Jones-Fikes family by the Associated General Contractors of the
Virginia Peninsula (AGC). AGC comprises member firms such as general
contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers and service providers,
including WM Jordan and Clancy & Theys. AGC members have enlisted the help
of their suppliers, subcontractors, employees and business associates to
build this three bedroom, two bath home. Brooks Family | 2010 Women
Build Project
Women Build is Habitat’s volunteer program for women who want to learn construction skills and make a difference by building homes and communities. Women Build is not about excluding men, but including more women in construction activities. Women and men from diverse backgrounds have signed on to pick up hammers and power tools to help the Brooks family build their way to a better future. The homeowner-to-be is

Grumman Newport News
Northrop Grumman Newport News, along with the United Steelworkers of America (Local 8888), has partnered with Habitat for Humanity for an eighth Labor Management House! Current and retired employees from all levels of Northrop Grumman have helped in the building of the sponsored homes. Northrop Grumman volunteers are involved in the entire build process from design to delivery. Northrop Grumman provides volunteers, financial support and coordination for this project. Anniversary House
The Beachcombers Corvette Club came out from across Hampton Roads to support this local Habitat affiliate and our build efforts. Thrivent Builds is a national home-building alliance between Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Habitat for Humanity International, which enables this local Habitat affiliate to expand its home-building capacity. Presbyterian Building on Faith
The Presbyterian Building on
Faith coalition of churches once again partnered with Habitat for
Humanity to construct a new house for a deserving family. Yvette Futrell and her two children purchased a new house in Hampton. The churches
participating in 2008/09 were: Carver Memorial Presbyterian, Community
Presbyterian Church, Denbigh Presbyterian Church, Faith Presbyterian Church,
First Presbyterian Church Hampton, First United Methodist Church of Fox
Hill, First United Methodist Church Newport News, Hidenwood Presbyterian
Church, Hilton Presbyterian Church, Jamestown Presbyterian, Kirkwood
Presbyterian Church, Second Presbyterian Church, Stone House Presbyterian,
